I haven't done this before, but there's a lot going on. I figured I should post some of the latest news.

First, some of my paintings appear in the new book about the Battle of Monmouth by Joe Bilby and his daughter, Katherine Bilby Jenkins. I've already read some of it and it's very comprehensive. They set the scene of what Revolutionary New Jersey was really like, tackle some myths and even look at how the battle was interpreted in the past. Nothing has been written about that important battle for a long time. It's worth the read!

Second, I've also just finished the cover art for another upcoming book by Joe. This one is about the US Colored Troops in the Civil War, focused on those from New Jersey. Aside from the strategy and tactics stuff, Mr. Bilby likes to season his history with personal stories. That requires digging a lot deeper, but the color it adds is worth it.

There are some appearances on the horizon too. I'll be at HISTORICON in the newly featured "Artists Row". I'll have a table with a display of my original art along with some notable artists such as Keith Rocco, White Historical Art and more. It should be a good time! The following weekend I will be in Gettysburg for the Artists Preservation Group show. It's primarily a historical miniatures show and there will be some great work to see. I know some folks will be bringing paintings as well. There's also special battlefield tours and events that are alone worth the trip.

Finally, I hope to be bidding on some illustration work for a museum renovation project. That's a first for me, and it might be a long shot, but I'm going to try it. It's particularly interesting because I've been looking into the museum design industry as a possible career change. So, wish me luck!
